Bracelet Jewelry

We all know how popular the Alex & Ani bracelets are, at least over here in the northeast United States. As a matter of fact, many of my female friends and family members received Alex & Ani bracelets (bangles or however you call them). Each individual bracelet goes for about $28, and subsequent department stores sell look-alikes for about $10-$18 each. So in the midst of this jewelry accessory craze, what’s there to do?

I took the liberty of researching these bracelets – how they look, feel, what they’re made of, and what seems to be the most popular – and decided to write a piece discussing just that. While I have yet to venture into this idea, I assure you that the Blueprints I have developed offer key insight into preparing for this type of startup.

Let’s begin with the thought process on how to identify our product, target audience, product supplier, marketing strategy, and add in some creative engineering in order to come up with a catchy yet relevant product name. We can easily identify our product as an “Alex & Ani look-alike” with its own unique identity (whether that distinguishable quality is the name or look).

The only concern is how we will limit our customization in the beginning – after all, Alex & Ani offers a multitude of different pendants, medals, and gems. In order for us to simplify our initial product pool, we can either research the most popular bracelets on the market (currently energy-related, nature & astrological pendants) or understand our target audience on a deeper level and derive what we need from their general interest.

I include an easier option within the Blueprints itself, as far as which pieces to begin with and where to find them.

Once we narrow down our product and customization options (the pendants along with the bracelet), we need to find our target audience. Mainly, Alex & Ani bangles appeal to females from age 16 – 45, and the appeal becomes denser between the ages of 18 – 24, as these young individuals have more of a “disposable” income (they just haven’t realized their debt yet).

Okay, so we have a product, an audience, and now desperately need a supplier, marketing strategy, and of course – a name. The process in determining a name, a marketing strategy, and most importantly a supplier, is quite specific. I go into more detail regarding all of this in the Blueprint for my Bracelet Jewelry idea.

T-Shirt Business

T-Shirts: everybody shops for, buys, and wears them. On a hot summer day or a lazy winter morn, a T-Shirt can and will always come in handy. As I searched for something to wear today, I found an old T-Shirt of mine that said “Kiss me I’m Irish”. We’ve all indulged in those funny, one-liner tees at some point in our lives. And so it hit me – I remembered how in the past few years there has been a spike in novelty T-Shirts. If you’re an active Facebook user, I’m sure you’ve seen these types of advertisements pop up on your News feed.

Well, have you ever clicked on it and explored where it takes you?  Have you ever wondered what efforts went into creating that T-shirt and why Facebook decided you were the best audience for that particular piece of Merchandise?

For the person/company posting the advertisement it provides them with an opportunity to create passive income with only a minimal amount of effort.  This income can range anywhere from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars. Albeit many campaigns fail miserably, crash and burn, implode… but there is still hope for your own personal T-Shire venture.

I have one word for you: Teepspring. You might have heard of them, but Teespring specializes in free, online T-Shirt design & sales. You can basically design a tee, setup a sales campaign, and then market them according to your audience demographic and age group.

You may be wondering what makes me qualified to give consult anyone about successful Teespring campaigns.  In the past few months, I have managed to make a few thousand dollars creating and selling apparel via Teespring.  Here you can see just a few examples of Teespring campaigns that I have run, and where my returns fit these profit ranges.  With only a little bit of creativity, my tutorial, and a minimal amount of experience, you could be well on your way of creating your own passive income.

As I mentioned, my success with T-Spring has been rather rewarding. Although the marketing can always present an issue, the development and pricing of the product can be relatively easy if you follow the right steps. Here is an example of a successful Teespring campaign I have run.  I spent about a total of thirty minutes working on setting this up.

Not to mention that I started a campaign several days ago, and if you subtract out the advertising costs, the following is the total I made with just 30 minutes of actual work (designing, customizing, & branding).

Now that I have tested the waters and mastered my own Teespring domain, I want to extend my knowledge to you. Over the past week or so, I have been researching, collecting & compiling information in order to provide you with a Blueprint, aimed at providing a viable, T-Shirt business plan.

Within my Blueprint, I provide all the necessary information to create a design for your T-Shirt or other apparel, develop a customized Teespring campaign, advertise to the right audience, and setup a proper public image for your new T-Shirt business.

Content Writing Service

I sat at my desk feeling torn – at a crossroad – between writing a little prose and brainstorming a new revenue stream. Either would have given me the relaxing satisfaction I craved, but something inside of me just did not want to give in. I twirled the pen in my hands and slammed my hands on the desk. It was then that I put both activities together – writing and revenue. From that amalgamation I began my research.

Many people start websites and blogs because they believe they have the purest of entrepreneurial intentions. They think that their idea or concept is revolutionary, or at least worthy of a few extra bucks. But the part at which almost all struggle is when they are put to the test – when they must write descriptively. Whether it is for product descriptions, site content, or another written work, many people do not possess the necessary literary skills.

All of this had me thinking, what about a content writing service? While I personally have a knack for writing, I was immediately set back by the idea of how high volume the work could become. I then realized that I had to approach this in a more efficient and creative manner.

My goal became to develop a startup plan of action, detailing the creation of the content writing company, the website, the service, and the marketing. I was able to brainstorm a unique company name, successfully optimize the startup cost of the domain name, and bootstrap the website design.

First, I had to come up with a name. I already had the business concept, what type of audience I would be targeting, and I had an idea of how I would approach it. I began with a set of keywords which related to “content writing”:

Content writing, content writers, premium content writers, plus content, plus content writers, writers plus, writers premium, content writers max, content writers maxx, writers maxx, maxx writing, content writers plus, content plus

From that list, I began cross-checking the keywords with available domain names. I ran through all of the keywords and arrived at the following possibilities (after consulting a friend of mine on which seemed more original):

Contentwritersplus.com, contentwriterspl.us, writerspl.us

Out of those three choices, writerspl.us resonated best with my friend, as well as his girlfriend (hey, doesn’t hurt for an extra opinion!). So I moved forward. The next step was identifying a website design & layout – how I could simply convey my business message to the users perusing the website. So in an effort to save time, I searched Google for “free minimalist wordpress theme”, and lo and behold I stumbled across a beauty of a theme.

After adding my own tweaks, installing a forms plugin, and writing up some snazzy copywrite, I published the site and was ready to accept business.

writersplus

Out of all this, Writersplus was born (www.writerspl.us), a premium service for professional content. The content writing company had been born. The site itself was started in November 2014 and has grossed fair success over the past month. It cost about $2 to begin, not including the server I already owned or the time element involved (~4 hours), and it has generated just under $1,000 in revenue.

You might have noticed that I left out a critical component to this endeavor – the way in which I would provide the actual content writing service. I want to share this component with you, providing you with everything necessary to launch a similar business – product development, pricing, marketing strategy, and more. All of this can be found within the Brainstorm Blueprints for this idea.
